I don't know what I mean till I write it down:And even then, I'm usually still confused. At least I know I like horizons that have no end in sight. And grace that never ends.

freaking out? maybe slightly

Well, I start school in about.......T minus 36 hours. I'm not kidding. You know that feeling right before you jump off a cliff or do something crazy? That surge of cold adrenaline that causes you to temporarily lose your level emotions and you are prematurely breathless cause you know what's about to happen. That electricity before your body hits the freezing cold water. I felt that way as I buckled my seatbelt on my flight to Peru.

That's how I feel. I can't believe I am actually doing this. Monday morning, I'm going to walk into a classroom of 9th and 10th graders and introduce myself as Ms. Speer and hand them a syllabus and be an adult and they are going to listen to me and do assignments that I give them and I am going to fall in love with all of them. I just can't believe it.

On a slightly more humourous note, I saw the funniest teacher quote ever:

"Why is teaching a more noble profession than being a doctor? Because teachers don't go around sticking innocent little children with needles. We just give them detentions."

They may not be needles, but for some people *cough*david*cough* books are just as scary and painful, though I'd have no problem getting either from you... just make it the good stuff... whitman, bradbury, morphine, etc

I'm really excited for you, your students are blessed to be getting a teacher with your passion for God, them and what your teaching. Monday is going to be amazing for you. Praying for you as always and for your classrooms.

"i'm the coolest teacher you'll EVER have." haha:) lovesJL
